Lanka Shakthi Opens Its New Office Complex in Matara city
Lanka Shakthi Creative Mass Media Organization (LSCMMO) opened its new office complex and business centre today (20th June 2005) at Batoota Road Matara. The management of LSCMMO received the guests of honour at the road leading to the centre around 10.30 am. They were taken in a procession with the traditional cultural dancers leading them. Mr. Kalyana Gunawardena the Director of National Youth Council ceremonially opened the centre by cutting the ribbon. Subsequently the ceremony followed. Chairmanship was offered to four members of LSCMMO. They are Mr.Gandhiraja, Mr. Erald Dhanthanarayana, Mr.Shantha Jayaweera and Mr. M.M.Razick, which represented all the communities. All those who attended the ceremony observed two minutes silence as a mark of respect for those lost their lives at the tsunami and peace in the country was followed by organization song. Next Mr. Nandasiri Gamage the Executive secretary of LSCMMO made the welcome address. In his speech he traced the history of LSCMMO, the services rendered and the future programmes. Mr. Suranjith Gunasekara a lecturer from the University of Ruhuna & Mr. Lionel Guruge addressed the meeting. Next vote of thanks was delivered and the ceremony ended with the song on peace.
