A Peoples’ Forum is to be organized by the Lanka National Sarvodaya Volunteer Society (LNSVS) on 22nd Friday at 9am at Hemali Reception Hall along Galle Road Walgama in the city of Matara. This programme was initially started by LNSVS with the objective of bringing national unity among different communities living in Sri Lanka. And also it has been going on for the last 48 years covering about 15,000 villages through the whole country. The above forum would cover representatives from all the religions, nationals and members of all walks of life from Matara DS division. And this programme would go on till 5pm and during this session the participants are expected to discuss about the problems faced by all the communities living in this area. And also the participants are hoping to strengthen the communal unity already prevailing in the area where Sinhala Buddhist, Catholics, Muslims and Hindus are living in amity. Matara District organizer of Sarvodaya H.M.Nelson and Divisional organizer Bandula |Samarasinghe are making all the arrangements in conducting this programme successfully
